Our Company

G & W Gardner was established in 1966 by Mr George Gardner and his son William. Following a successful partnership with William Gardner the Company is now owned by Martin Bedingfield and run by his son Stephen and daughter Julie.

We operate throughout the South East undertaking the smallest projects through to contracts of approximately £2M. Our work as a principle contractor is long and proven with a number of repeat clients.

We undertake Small works, Refurbishment works, Insurance works, Listed Buildings works, New Builds, Design & Build and Commercial works. Our client base includes the Diosese, Local Health Authorities,various Architectural Practices and Local Authorities.

Work is predominantly carried out by our own directly employed workforce supplemented by specialist sub contractors with whom we have had a long standing working relationship.

Recent News

The Menagerie Cages Dreamland

We have recently carried out restoration work on three rare and historic menagerie cages which sit in the grounds of Dreamland in Margate. The structures date from

1874 and are Grade II Listed.

Margate Civic Society 2017 Town Pride Awards

We were delighted to be put forward for the 2017 Margate Civic Society Town Pride Awards for the conversion of our old workshops into domestic dwellings. These three old workshops with a wealth of history were bought from a state of disrepair into attractive homes all whilst keeping their industrial charm and character. We were incrediably proud to receive a highly commended award for these works.
